An A4 Golf station wagon?!?

I swear I saw one driving around yesterday. Actually, it looked like a jetta body with a golf front end grafted onto the front of it. They did a pretty good (albeit useless) job with it too. My guess is that somebody got bored. Really bored, because they replaced the jetta badging with golf badging too. It still threw me off for a sec when I saw it going.

Just thought I'd share the sight.

It's a Getta conversion probably.... I think the Jolf looks better tho, people do both with very good results, because all you need are new panels, lights and hood (from a rear ended Golf or Jetta, or brand new parts)... no hacking and drilling and cutting.

Either way, I didn't really care for it. The golf front end doesn't seem to fit a station wagon (in my opinion of course). Now, all of those R32's I see driving around here I do like. I need to find a way to import one back into Canada when I move.. haha.. stupid safety regulations.

Or, since it was Northern Virginia, it could have been a Euro-spec car belonging to a diplomat.

Its only a Jetta station in the US. Its a Golf Variant in th eret of the world.

I know that, but this thing was definitely a golf front end with a station wagon (jetta) back end. Not a jetta station wagon, even though it may have begun life as one.

There are also Bora (Jetta) Variants as well.

Same car, different front ends, and the Bora version was usually trimmed and positioned a little higher on the totem pole than the Golf version.
