The 1.9ld polo would not start the other morning so too to garage where the tried a new starter. It now appears the ring gear is done for and can not be replaced without a flywheel too.
VW will only supply complete with a cloth and euro parts need =A3250 ish for the flywheel.
Can anybody suggest a cheaper way round this?
I have a scrap 1.8gl golf 1990 but would imagine this will not be of any use for spares and that part number matches are beyond the internet user
