I have an '02 Passat wagon with the 1.8T engine and automatic transmission.
This AM I had to do a full-throttle merge onto a freeway. I happened to glance at the tach and noticed that I was well inside the red zone, so I got off the gas immediately.
Is the indicated redline merely a suggestion, or is something screwed up?
