Digifant Probs - On The Right Track?

Question

Hi There,Suspect car is a '91 Golf that started running rough - at any speed, warm orcold. Disconnecting the coolant sensor made it run rougher, new plugs didn'thelp, wires, cap and rotor are recent check ok. What I did find is a groundprob for the O2 sensor. From the O2 connector to #2 on the ECU harness wasgood, but from #2 on the ECU harness to the ground on the engine there in nocontinuity. The other grounds check out fine, so could this be it? This isthe outer of the coaxial type wire, so what would be the way to fix it?Splice a new wire after the break? Would this have damaged the O2 sensor?No, I haven't checked the ISV or the Throttle Body, rain just put damper onthings, tho they were cleaned in March. Any help or suggestions would beappreciated.Thanks,Jeffo

usually ground wires to intake manifold or coolant pipe stud break somewherewhere it flexesmight be shorted wires to 02 alsoor ???you checked continuity at the ECU plug?

Check your fuel pressure, I had a similar problem that had me running incircles and it turned out that my Golf had a constant 100psi of fuelpressure caused by a faulty regulator.Paul

When it comes to ignition wires, so far I haven't found any that I like morethan the OEM factory ones from the dealer.
