Hi There,
Suspect car is a '91 Golf that started running rough - at any speed, warm or cold. Disconnecting the coolant sensor made it run rougher, new plugs didn't help, wires, cap and rotor are recent check ok. What I did find is a ground prob for the O2 sensor. From the O2 connector to #2 on the ECU harness was good, but from #2 on the ECU harness to the ground on the engine there in no continuity. The other grounds check out fine, so could this be it? This is the outer of the coaxial type wire, so what would be the way to fix it? Splice a new wire after the break? Would this have damaged the O2 sensor? No, I haven't checked the ISV or the Throttle Body, rain just put damper on things, tho they were cleaned in March. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Jeffo
