East coast, Philadelphia area. Coming up tonight on Ebay with hours left at end of auction with a buyer already: a Rabbit LS 4-door 83 project car with bad engine 5 speed good trans, good clutch, air, PS, GTI vent windows (not the bonded that the pivot comes off).
Great for putting a *bigger VW engine* in for a zippy car and also great for a diesel conversion not all that difficult for a home mechanic for this vintage and easier with today's fuel prices to find a diesel power train in a yard than the full diesel car. As diesel (this is a gas Rabbit) could get over 50 mpg project could be done for only a few hundred or so with used parts doing it yourself.
Current bid is selling at only 49.50 and goes at that price.
