Knock sensor cracked, RV engine, 1.8 liter, 92 Jetta

The plastic housing of the knock sensor has a crack. The engine is an RV, so it is [dijivent]sp?. Does the piece need replaced or will it slowly survive. I have stall problems in warm weatether. Above 65 degrees F.

It may still work.........check it as per the Bentley procedure! You will need an adjustable timing light at least, and maybe a torque wrrench too.
