The A2 always uses 20w50 oil after "X" number of miles. In my case, that's been anything after 90,000 miles.
I'm up to 250,000 miles now. Never a problem starting in winter, although it is easier with Syn oil (20w50 of course). I live in Michigan, which is roughly the same weather at Toronto, etc.
