TV set top controller project

I am working on a TV set top controller project. The display is TV. The input is home build remote control.

There are also, other sources of video monitor input from this building complex. The output is to control different devices, gates, detectors, video monitor, etc.

We prefer not use any off the shelf security products or security services.

Is there any set top box design available?

Well, this forum is about liquid-cooled Volkswagens, but someone here may be able to point out a source of info. Have you tried Google?
