Is it possible to remove the factory cruise control from a 1986 Golf GTI and install it on a 1985 Jetta GLI? Both are CIS-E, have trip computers, and 5 speed transaxles.

I'm supprised the '85 gli dosen't already have one.Mine did. Anything is possible but remember the gti was made in the US and the gli was German. I've found there's some wireing differences between them.
