I am about to change the fuel filter, i am not sure this is going to fix it though :( It tends to happen during the first 10 minutes of running. This leads me to think that it could be the auto choke playing up. Anyone know how this works and how i could confirm/remedy this?

I had cut out problems on a Rabbit that were solved by cleaning electrical connections at the wiring harness to the hall sensor. I do not know if your car has the same connector.
