Infinity speaker

I've taken out & need to replace the tweeter speaker that's towards the front & center of the dash. It's on a 2000 Concorde & it's the Infinity system.

Mopar # 04760371

Anybody know of a website that offers a replacement for this speaker?

I've tried the local Chrysler dealer..... $50+ & they'd have to order it. The local salvage yards don't have any (more like they don't want to mess with just a speaker). The local boom-box store only sells sets & they had no Infinity speaker that'll fit.

The LH car center speaker has been discussed a bit on both

formatting link
and the 300M ezBoard forums. If it blows, the consistent advice on those forums falls into 3 categories: (1) Just unplug and/or remove it - it doesn't add that much to the sound quality anyway. (2) If you're going to keep the OEM amp, replace the center speaker only with OEM as it is 2 ohms (unusual), and only the OEM speaker is going to sound right (impedance and crossover performance). (3) If you're concerned enough with sound quality that simply unplugging or removing that speaker is not good enough, then you should consider replacing the factory amp and all speakers for an overall sound system upgrade.

If you do want to replace just that speaker, you'd be better off posting in the Buy/Sell/Trade forums of

formatting link
and/or 300m ezBoard - there will likely be someone there who has upgraded their system with aftermarket that will sell you a speaker for a nominal fee and shipping. It appears that the Chrysler dealers with an internet presence do not list the speakers in their drill-down price lists. You might call one of them, but I don't know that you'll save that much.

You're welcome! From the LH forums, it appears that that's what most people end up doing.
