problem restricting airflow?

I'd like to mount a pair of 4" round lamps behind the grille of my 2001 F150. There's a sturdy beam that's directly in front of the radiator/trans fluid cooler. It looks like the perfect location, but I'm concerned that I may impact the airflow to the cooling units. I occasionally drive in the Rockies, but never pull a trailer or carry anywhere near the weight capacity. I recognize that this location would impede the lamps' function (thru the honeycomb grill), but that's ok.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance, Scott

We install grill lights all the time for police vehicles and never had an over heating problem.

I did this before in a car, and for some reason the bulbs burnt out more often. Had the same lamps also under the bumper except they were yellow, and they had no problem. The only difference I could see was the temperature there would have been higher.

Not sure if the reduced airflow will be a problem. I would not think it would reduce the flow that much.
