Radio

Does anyone else have the problem of being able to hear the heater fan motor and/or interference from a cell phone charger through the AM side of the radio? Or does anyone know a cheap fix for this? It only does this in my

2001 Sephia. It does not do it in my 2001 Spectra.

It's not the car, it's the radio, Most am car radios do this, Don't have a fix for the phone charger but for the heater you might try a noise suppressor kit. It is a couple of braided wire ground straps that go from the hood to the firewall , and from the radio to the nearest metal part of the dash that is connected to the body of the car. Most car radio shops should have these. Also older AM radios had an adjustment for sensitivity , I forgot what it was called , but it was used during installation. There was a very small hole in the front or the side of the radio . The installer would find the weakest station and adjust the radio untill the station was as loud and clear as it could get. Lastly you might have a bum heater motor or one thats going to fail. try a ground strap from the heater motor to the firewall of the car. Good Luck
