Engine oil change checks

I am now the proud owner of a 2008 Disco 2.7 Diesel. I have to say I am very
pleased with it and intend to look after it.



It is still in warranty and part of the deal was that it would be serviced
at a LR dealer and the book stamped.

In the past I have always maintained all my vehicles and never fail to
change the oil regularly. I had my last disco for 16years.

Having taken a look at the oil in my new disco it does not look that clean
to me assuming it has been changed.

Yes I know that it usually gets a bit discoloured by the remnants of the old
oil in the sump.

Two questions.



Is there some way of getting a check done on the oil to prove it has / has
not been changed.



The service I had stamped in the book was a service B 29541mls.  The oil
service check box has not been ticked. Not sure if service B automaitcally
includes an oil change.



The previous service was a service A at 17797mls.



I am having real problems trying to locate service information such as oil
change intervals.



I am planning to go back to the garage to enquire but before that I would be
interested in getting some advice here.
