Points system !!!!!

Hi all, correct me if I am wrong, but an original chassis with correct engine and g/box, with original axles and suspension, counts for retaining the original registration number, regardless of the body which is put on it ?????

Yes Rich, as far as I remember bodywork isn't included in the points system.

except in the case of a monocoque body. But that don't apply to land rovers.

Hmmm. That means me proposed transit landrover hybrid can, if built on a donor 110, keep the original identity, even if I give it a new chassis in the process.

Good news, as I thought because, I have a nice clean 1972 Range Rover rolling chassis and want to put a Granada Estate on it, so you strip the body shell of all the running gear and fix it to the Rangie and you are away !!!!!!! Sounds easy but I expect there will be some hickups along the line, we shall see what happens. Rich
