Central Locking Mystery

I recently posted that the drivers door central locking motor, on my Rover

115 had packed up. However, every time it rains, it works again, although a little bit slower than the other three doors!

Any thoughts?

I'll strip it down, clean it and perhaps some WD40...

Yes, then after WD40, apply some oil or light grease. WD40 will only lean it, and leave a film that will attract more dust.

The rubber seals connecting to the door frame often let in water and get corroded. Unplug, peel back the seals and give the pins a good clean with wet/dry and a dose of WD40.
