2003 Forester has compass problem

My compass is stuck between N and NE. Is there someway I can fix it?

This assumes the compass is live. That is, the wiring hasn't broke and a fuse isn't blown.

How come they have this in a Forester, but we don't see it either an Outback or Tribeca? :)
