1965 galaxie transmission problem

i have a 1965 galaxie 500 convertible with a 352 auto i just got the car about two months ago the transmission was rebuilt the day before i got it it didnt eve have 100 miles on it at time of pickup it was sluggish to shift at first and i figured it was just because it was new and needed to be broken in. it would hold gears longer than it was supposed to then shift roughly after a few seconds this went on for a while and my wife was driving the car while i was away training for a month and informed me that the drive gears were not working at all after that i thought it was the vacuum line no breaks or cracks in the hard line all connections including to the manifold are tight and do not appear to have a leak i also checked the soft line again no cracks very solid no dry rot after that i changed the modulator valve thinking that would fix the issue again i was disappointed reverse gear works not very well but the drive gears are not working at all no matter how high the motor is reved or weather i put in low , drive or overdrive im still not getting any forward motion besides just rolling down the driveway anyone have any ideas on what the issue could be? any help would be much appreciated

Well, the sluggish shifting at the beginning should have told you there was a problem, likely one with fluid pressure. Whatever it was, it didn't get better, it got worse. Take it back to the rebuilder.

Could be a lot of things... all serious. Broken seal rings, bad pump, bad servos, bad valve body, chunks of debris in the tiny fluid openings, cracked case, etc. Trans needs to be torn down completely and rebuilt from scratch.
