We drove up from North Carolina to Massachusetts today (we will never go through the damned Bronx again!)
My AC cut out for most of the trip (not fun). So I turned it off and opened the windows (Jersey smells just lovely...)
After we crossed the Connecticut line, I switched it back on, just to see what it would do, and it was fine. There were no lights or anything going off, and the car didn't smell hot, but I figure we must have overheated it by having the fan too high from the start of the trip (my son blasted it). We could feel the cool air, but the fan wasn't blowing worth shit, either with the vents open or not.
From Connecticut on, it was fine on the first setting. Is that something we should have checked here, or just go easy on the AC until we get home?
