1998 Camry RS3000 Alarm fuse

Hello all. I just bought a 1998 Camry with the factory RS3000 alarm. The car did not come with a remote entry key FOB. However, I was told that the alarm should still arm when I take out the key. I don't see any kind of light on the alarm indicator come on though. I am planning on ordering a new key FOB but since they are so expensive I want to make sure the alarm/entry works before I do. Does anyone know which is the power wire or which fuse this is normally on?

Thanks. Bill

Order them used off of ebay for $5-20 each. You need the FCC # though to get the right ones (may be the same for all of that model year???) It may have been programmed for active NOT passive arming. Try closing all doors with drivers window down and locking doors --- then turn the key to front of car. The alarm light should come on - reach in window and unloc/open the door and alarn should go off. Insert key in steering column to turn horn off. This is how the 2003 works any how. You need the fob to change to passive mode.
