Tail light problem

First, all my lights work, including brakes, running lights etc. The right-turn signals work fine, but when I use the left turn signal, the left-front signal stays lit, and the left-rear signal goes dark and neither left signals blink. I've replaced the bulbs. I'm assuming that the problem is with the left-read wire the goes from the signal to the light. But the wiring diagram is a tad confusing.

It's a 1960 bug.

TIA,

John

Hmm.. if the tail light works when not being used as a turn signal, wouldn't that indicate that the ground is fine?

No, that's not a conclusive test. The tail lamp filament only draws a little current. If the ground (on one side) is missing, the current will flow out of the tail light assy on the brake light filament to the other tail light assy. Those filamnets are heavy and you won't even see the tiny glow from the current.
