waterless radiator fluid

Hi any one used waterless liquid in their Volvo . I hear you can run at almost no pressure in the radiator . It is not cheap but think of the radiator hoses and system with out pressure they should last a long time . I do not know what the mixture consists of but it needs to be water free . With no pump cavitation or boiling the whole system should work much better . Here in Australia where the climate changes so much we need good cooling anti boil and anti freeze . Interested in any experience anyone has .

I wasn't aware that cooling systems were particularly short-lived when full of water (plus the usual additives)!

The stuff works pretty good but there is a real good reason to run with no pressure. That stuff will find it's way out through ANYthing. The capiliary action is incredible - which I guess is how it "wets" so well to provide the excellent heat transfer.

Friends have used it in water cooled Rotax ultralight aircraft and snowmobile engines.

Alloy cylinder heads might last longer if it gives less electrolytic corrosion than water.
