aftermarket trailering mirrors for 2004 silverado

My stock mirrors don't extend far enough (I have the electric extending mirrors) and neither are they tall enough to be able to see my trailer tires as well as vehicles in the lanes next to me. It appears that the Ford (electric) extending mirrors might be just what I need. Are there any aftermarket mirrors available for the 2004 Silverado that will extend further and be taller?

IMHO, it depends on how often you tow..

In our case, we only tow 1 or 2 weekends a month, and since the truck came with heated power mirrors, I hated to give them up, besides paying about $150 a mirror for the power extending ones..

We went with the CIPA slide-on extensions and have used them for a year now.. they work great for us and were about $65 for the set...

They work well, don't look too bad, and are quick and easy to put on/take off.. they even stay adjusted between trips, sitting on a shelf in the garage..

Our next truck WILL have towing mirrors, as we'll be doing a factory build..
