Is there any way that you can check codes on the newer GM trucks? I mean like we used to do with the paper clip,or do you have to buy some sort of scanner? Just curious! Thanks. Bill

Nope, need a scan tool. If you don't live in CA, you can go to AutoZone and they'll scan it for you.
