New Diesel Fuel and MPG

Yeah stupid goverment, imagine thinking we should be able to breath and not be poisoned Lead is a poison, it really screws up kids in their formative years. Cars last longer today then they did 30 years ago, maybe the solutions should have been found a lot sooner. The only thing lead protected was valve seats. I rebuilt my 63' 283 and put hardened valve seats in the heads, no more issues. every car since the late 70's has had hardened valve seats. Sulfur in diesel was for the injectors and pumps, and nothing else. Today's injectors are far superior to those 15 years ago. Injector pumps have gone the way of the dodo bird so that's not an issue ether.

Sulfur was in diesel because refineries didn't have the equipment/processes to remove most of it. They have been removing some from fuel for years and they haul it away from refineries by the truck load. Some crude oil (sour) contains more sulfur than other crude (sweet), but it all contains some sulfur.
