Color issue

I'm about to buy a new car - I want the black with black leather interior - but I'm afraid it will be too hot or have fading problems. Any suggestions?

Of course an all-black car will be hot, compared to lighter colors. I don't think it will make any difference if it's an Acura, a Ford, or a Ferrari.

Never mind fading, black is the absolutely most difficult paint color to keep looking good. It shows the slightest dirt, and don't even talk to me about swirl marks. Four times now I have *sworn* that I'll never buy another black car...

My last car was black. It was an 05 honda civic. Within a couple months all you could see was swirm marks. No matter how careful I was. It seemed like if I looked at it wrong, it got more swirl marks.... Sold it for that reason alone

But when it was new, with the windows tinted, it looked great!

Black looks great when clean, but keeping it clean is a lot of work if not garaged. Window tint will help on the fading. Yes,black will be HOT in the sun.Especially the seats. Hot Leather seats will be more uncomfortable than cloth seats.Leather also takes more care than cloth seats.

Buy a Pearl White with Ivory interior and use one of those reflector things behind the windshield in hot weather. Works for me. Pappy

I have a black on black 2003 CL. I use Automagic BC 2 and Caroma 450 Carnuba.. Works great, no swirls. I use microfiber towels.
