cylinder deactivation idiocy

sooo, now that a4 2.0T is likely to get 2 cylinder deactivation (and the accompanying increased lag in engine response) does it mean 5 cylinder 2.5T spared of that idiocy would be an available option for the up and coming a4?

manual 5 or 6sp option, please
