ABC V6 is the 2.6L 12V engine, correct?



If so, the thermostat is located at the front face of the engine, below the LHS camshaft timing gear, under an aluminum housing. Pretty sure you have to remove the toothed belt and loosen the non-toothed belt to get that cover off, but perhaps you can get away without actually removing the timing belt...

OK, thanks. It seems to be running cold (about 55 deg C), but I'd better check the temperature gauge before doing anything else.

And its sending unit on the back of the head.

Does the heater heat up the cabin? - Then its probably the gauge - the gauge should read about 35-40 Ohms with warm engine.

(if you place a 39 ohm resistor over the wires to the gauge it should read arround 90 deg C)
