Does anyone Know what the display sign of a gear surrounding an exclamation point means? it is display by the number 4 when shifting and then just stays there.

It will reset everytime you turn off the car, and not come on again until a fault is detected. You need to get the codes read out (usually at a dealer or specialist) to figure out how bad it is.

It's also the first indication of low system volts so check this before spending serious money.
