I have a '96 318iS coupe and it has the digital climate control panel. I seem to have an intermittent fault that causes the display to either go completely blank or to dim. If it does either the fan stops running.
I have checked the wires inthe back of the control panel, and all seems fine. Any odeas where to look next?

Well I changed the capacitor today and the result so far is that the heater doesn't seem to cut out any more but the LED display is now permanently blank. I couldn't find a .47u so used a 6.8 not even close but the literature JB sent suggested the specific value wasn't too inportant. I'll try to source a .47 and try again....
