I resently acquired a 2003 525 with 6k miles on it; the only issue isbeen the gas indicator that for some reason never "marks" a full tank -my BMW Center changed the left sender, but it still doen't go to full.After they changed the sender I've noticed my MPG numbers (as indicatedby the computer) drop from around 17 to 10 MPG!!! No, no hard driving,but 70% is city driving.What gives?

If it doesn't go to F, then you are not filling the tank. And, so what?And, the mileage will not change because the sending unit is changed. Reset the Average Consumption and move on.

What is your MPG?

According to the OBC in my 2001 330 ci SP, my average MPG is 18.6. Does this seem about right considering that I split pretty evenly with city and highway driving? My 1996 328 IS SP got quite a bit more with the average MPG right around 26! In both cases, I am pleased with the performance. I figure the 330 is a bit heavier than the 328 w/manual trans. Auto in the 330. I know, I know. I made a mistake. Let the flames begin! :) The next one, an E46 M3 will have the manual trans.
