i've got a 94 z28 and since i bought the car the security light stays on. it doesnt seem to interfere with anything, but i keep wondering why this security light stays lit all the time on my dash. any ideas? whats that light for anyways?

My 95 Z28 has the same problem. It just means there is a problem with the anti theft system. When the security system is working right the computer chip in the key activates the ignition. Someone can't start the car without that chip. If the security light is on it means the chip isn't necessary. It does not affect the car in any other way.
