Dual Exhaust on a 2001 Coupe?

Aug 26, 2004 10 Replies

Hi,

I purchased a 2001 coupe with the V6 (auto). Is it possible to put dual exhaust on this car, and if so, how much would something like that be? Would performance and gas mileage increase?

Also, does anybody know what the hell the little spring loaded (looks like a coin changer) thing inside the middle compartment box is for?

Thanks,

Wishing I never sold my 68 back around 1976 for $700.00-:(

In the order asked:

  1. Yes
  2. How much do you want to spend? (0-0)
  3. Yes and Yes
  4. Need a better description of what you're referring to.

I wouldn't look for too nuch gas savings. Low restriction intakes and exhausts will help with performance, but you only see it at WOT. You MIGHT get as much as 15hp.

L>Hi,

Thanks so much for the info!

God. I don't know how-:) It's inside the middle (between the front seats) compartment holder. It's in the front and it detaches, you just pull up on it. It's got 3 round spring loaded buttons on the top, but the darn thing doesn't seem to have a purpose, but I know it's has too...

it's a coin holder... there should be three different size slots... quarters, dimes and nickles... my 97 S10 had one too...
