02 Chevy 1500 - Horn Stopped Working

The horn on my 2002 Chevy 1500 peecup stopped working for no apparent reason.

I checked the fuse but it's looks good, so I was going to check the horn itself but I cannot find it.

Where did GM hide the horn on the 02 1500 peecup? Left Side or Right side, behind the bumper or what?

I cannot continue to drive this thing in Dallas Ft. Worth metromess without a horn. I still have my finger but nobody looks unless you provide the compulsory horn blow. ;-)

Hi!

Why do I think this is a troll?

I was going to guess that perhaps a wire had come undone or the horn itself has gone bad. Reading further down into your post I would guess it burned out from overuse. :-)

If you don't find it behind the grille, look in the "hollow space" of the fenders. I can barely see the horn in my 03 S-10, but there is one in there. I don't know why it is in there, but it is.

Look in the fender area if you don't find it behind the grille. Worst case you can always find one with a working horn and have someone lay on the horn while you look (listen?) for it.

If the horn cannot be fixed, I suggest more firepower. I'd start with a long pointy stake mounted to the front of your vehicle. Failing that I'd suggest a nail gun aimed at tires or even a missile launcher hidden in the bumper. (You can replace those useless fog lights with one of these.) Enlivening the body of your car with an ignition coil while you are away can alleviate door dings. :-)

I am--of course--just kidding.
