2003 Sierra - air pumps above driver when cold outside?

Jan 09, 2006 2 Replies

Okay, I noticed that when it's cold outside, less that about 45°F, there is a pump or something that runs in the headliner just above the driver's seat. There is a small vented cap right where I hear the noise. What is this pump thing for? Can I disable it or is it important?

TIA

I think that has something to do with Automatic Climate Control. Do you have that?
