I just bought a new 2003 Silverado K1500 w/5.3 L vortec 5300. I've been thinking of adding cruise control. Is it true that all I would need to buy is the turn signal lever with the cruise control on it? Thats it? From what I have read it is already pre-wired for it. The dealer is closed right now or I wouls just call them. Thanks.

The cruise control consists of the controls on the lever, a control unit (mine looks like a small amplifier and is mounted under the dash), the actuator unit (mounted on the engine) and the connecting cables. I don't think that it is hooked to the main computer. The cheapest part in all this is the lever.

marsh monster ~:~ Good link Scrib, however........What is that crap about on most vehicles it only takes 45 minutes to install. I've done a few and it took alot more than
45 minutes. Its not *hard* to do but is very *time* consuming. Lyin bastards. :)
Damn right Scott, it does take a few hours in most applications.
