Any pointers on selling a Chevy truck?

Dec 10, 2003 7 Replies

Hi, I've got a 1976 Chevy pickup I'm trying to sell or part out. I didn't want to intrude into a group that wasn't a "forsale" group, but I'm not that familiar with newsgroups related to Chevy trucks.

Any suggestions as to where to post a URL for a truck that's for sale that won't generate flames back at me?

Or is it OK to do so here? I didn't see anyone else selling stuff here and didn't want to be out of line.

BTW, I'm located near Raleigh, NC.

Hi!

I've seen people list trucks for sale here before. Whether or not they got an answer...I dunno...but I can't recall seeing too many, if any flames.

If you've got some personal web space (don't use a free hosting provider for a for sale listing, otherwise it will look bad with all those ads dancing around) you might take a picture of the truck and type something up about it. Then you can make a simple posting here with the link and maybe what you've got in mind as an offer or what (if anything) you would trade for.

That should be a good start. Good luck!

Thanks! I have my own website that I'm using to sell things. Sort of a virtual yardsale. I'll post a URL shortly. Apologies in advance if anyone is offended. But at least it's a *Chevy* truck I'm selling....right?

to hell with 'em if they get pissed

Try selling on EBay Motors, I've had good luck selling there myself.

Thanks. That's probably my next step. I'm going to run some ads locally for

2 weeks and see what comes in.

Hi, No...unfortunately it's not 4x4. The URL to the pictures and description is:
