Backup Lights

You can add more wattage but it won't make much difference. There is basically no meaningful lens system in back up lights, all they do is just sort of make a diffuse glow so more wattage just make the glow a little brighter. I have yet to find any light that shows much improvement by simply adding more wattage - poor optics are almost always the problem. If you compare a 1960's quad round headlight system to today's cars the difference is dramatic - the 1960's system is almost always much much better at throwing light.

I know you dont want aux lights, I didnt either because they look kind of geeky but I added them anyway kind of tucked up under the bumper. You cant see them but a pair of driving lights really lights up the ground . Very nice when I am hooking the trailer up at night.
