I Would HATE to change the oil in that Thing. The filter has GOT to be a bitch. I think you would need a house just to store the oil wrench in.

Actually, when you get up into these big units, it's pretty easy. They often don't drain the oil. The system sucks out so much oil per hour, and uses a float to keep adding oil from a reserve tank. BTW, that used oil is often mixed in with the fuel oil and burned. Filter is easy, since there are a bunch of them in parallel, with ball valves on each. Changes are often done with the motor running.

Do you think they spend the extra money for Mobil1? :)

I worked on a lake freighter for a part time job in the '70s. During winter layup one of ny jobs was to stand on a platform inside the cylinder (6 cylinder diesel, 10k hp) and chip out the carbon from the exhaust ports.

Did they make ya do it while it was runnin? :-)~
