Is transmission fluid corrosive

Jun 02, 2007 3 Replies

I just put a new radiator in my Suburban. Its got a condenser and tranny cooler in it. It looks like the trans cooler line seeped a little over the years and blew back through the condenser and to the bottom of the radiator. where it corroded it out. I,m wanting to leak check or swap the condenser out while I can get at it easily. Should I just get a new condenser even if its not leaking because of the fluid.Or not, th anks.

Tranny fluid is not corrosive.

And condensers don't come "in" radiators. It's not even likely a condenser came "with" a radiator.
