Any opinions as to whether this is worth buying? Anybody have any experience with this unit?

Harbor freight tools has a code reader like it that I use on my 1998 S10 which sales for $49.00 USD It might not be as good as the 'expensive spread' but it tells the code and erases it for you. Reads OBDII for 96 up FYI JIM

Don't know if you have Wal-Marts up there but in the USA Wal-Mart sells the Inova for $99.00

Actaully went ahead and bought it. What with the exchange, $99 USD is not all that far off anyway.
