The answer to your questions lies in your owner's manual. You can't get the light to stay off forever, but you can reset the indicator. From the off position, turn the key to the run position (NOT the "ACC" position) but don't start the truck. Now depress the gas pedal fully to the floor 3-5 times within 5 seconds and the message should come up on the Driver's Info Center display saying "Oil Life Meter Reset". Turn the key back to the off position and then you should be able to restart the truck normally from there.

Now with that said, please save us the load of extra images on your newsgroup messages. Some here don't have high speed internet and it takes a long time to download that stuff and is thought to be inconsiderate, espeically on a text-only group.
