Search terms to use include the problem you are having and a man by the name of Jonathon Race has posted a very complete description of the problem many times over now.
Basically, it's a known problem and something you can either fix yourself or replace.

check with your dealer, there is a recall on the wiper module board.

Just a quick point to a great post. Do not use acid core solder. Also when your soldering tool becomes hot enough to melt solder, use a damp sponge to clean the tip before starting out. That's it.
