Rhino Spray Bed

No cap. No gravel. Just hauling basic stuff. I saw one the other day for the

1st time. Look real nice. Guy said he was happy with it. But only had it installed about 2 weeks ago.

Not to mention the crap that gets under the bed liners. I used to haul hay in my PU. Took the bed liner off and pulled out a bail of hay...

Hi!

Or consider a Bedrug!

It's held up *very* well to wood, gasoline, oil, assorted other automotive fluids, dirty tractor parts, computer equipment, sharp things and all sorts of other stuff. I've been pretty impressed.

Hi!

This is a similar reply to the one I made earlier on this thread.

I have a Bedrug in my 2003 S-10 pickup. After thinking about sprayed-in, drop in and other types of bedliners, I learned of the Bedrug from this group. While mine is not subjected to the elements (it's under a topper) I have had a lot of different materials back there. Nothing so far has caused any damage whatsoever, though I did have some gasoline get on a piece of plastic, which melted to the Bedrug. I got most of it out, but that wasn't really the Bedrug's fault...the plastic piece is what melted.

It seems to be not only rugged, but also very comfortable to work or move around in the bed.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not going to be putting on a topper. Will the Velcro hold it in with no worries ? All the one's I've seen had a topper. The company has no info on this. Would hate to see it fly out at 70mph.

They say Gasoline wont affect it. But The plastic, like you said was the problem, not the gas.

How long does it take to dry out when it's wet ? They say it's a closed cell foam, But the carpet must hold some water ? When Installed, Does water find it's way under the bedrug ? If not, How does it keep from getting under the rug ?

Thanks for your insight.

Hi!

I couldn't tell you for sure. All I can say is that the Velcro does hold it in there *tightly*. You get hold downs for the tailgate part, the sides and (IIRC) the entirety of the bottom has stripes that run along it. It really takes an effort to pull the thing loose.

Of course, how well it can hold depends upon the quality of surface that it's stuck to. Make sure the bed metal is as clean as you can make it...that will help the adhesive bond well.

From rain leaking in the topper windows that I left open during a storm...I'd say it was dry a few hours after the sun came out.

The one time I washed it, it took a lot longer to dry out. From memory it was about 2 days and a few hours. For the "few hours" I had a fan on it. The weather was overcast the whole time...any amount of sun would probably have hastened things considerably.

The bottom is closed cell foam. The sides and tailgate are just the carpet-like stuff as far as I can tell. It does hold water, but not a whole lot.

Yes, water does get under there from the sides. I found this out when I washed it. However, the rug is tight enough that I had to park the truck on an incline to make all the water come out of the bed on the topside of the rug.

As far as water getting "trapped" goes, I checked after the rainstorm and dryout time to find that everything top and bottom was dry once again.

Have to agree, a truck is for work. I had the last two trucks sprayed with a bed liner. The first was from Ziebart. I liked it, but only had the truck for about six months. The 250 01 has one that the dealer had sprayed in, and it has a life time warranty, but I can't recall the name right now. However, it keep stuff from sliding around, and keeps the bed from rusting out. They increase the life of the bed, and that makes it work longer. That's what they are good for. They get dull after use, hold mud if I don't spray it out, and will probably be there when I drive the truck into the field and park it for the last time. If I was putting a bed liner in to have it look pretty, then I probably wouldn't be buying a truck in the first place.
