S10 split window leakage

Hello

I have an 89 S10 with the split rear window.

When it rains, I notice that water makes its way into the cab via the slide rails for moving the glass pane to the open position.

Any ideas on how would I go about fixing this (without going the obvious route of caulking the window shut)? I'd like to continue using this window.

Thanks.

Check the weather seals sometimes they get wore out pretty fast if you use the window alot...more than likely thats your problem.you best bet is to call a dealer see if you can get just the seals or if you have to get a complete window unit.Im not sure but if i recall you have to replace the whole thing.not too much you can really do wish i could be more help

hey

Does anyone know of somewhere you can buy the seals or window kit other then at the dealer?

I just got off the phone and the only thing the dealer sees as being available to purchase is the release catch.

Everywhere else I've called said call the dealer.

If there's a company in the states that carries this peice it might be worth paying to import it to canada. (Otherwise it's a wreckers trip)

Thanks.

I missed your info on where it is leaking, but if it is leaking between the movable panels of glass, you can get some very fine window stripping and compress it between the panels. I did this and when I snap the lock shut it seals very tightly. If it is leaking around the frame of the window, remove the window, clean off behind the window and on the frame, and then apply sealant and put it back in. Most windows have drain holes in the bottom of the channel where the windows slide, but I don't expect that is where your water is coming in.
