Welded hinges

Hi everyone. This past christmas, I had a minor altercation with a big-rig resulting in some body damage on the right side of my 96 express van. Luckily, there was no broken glass, but a fair amount of body damage. Mostly minor stuff that would be easy to pull out, but it also moved a hinge. It bent back more than an inch.

This van has the double doors on the side, not the slider. The affected hinge is the top hinge on the left (as you look at the side), smaller door. This weekend, I got out a 12" cold chisel and an 8# sledge and went to work on the hinge. It was and inch and an 8th too far back which causes binding preventing the door from being opened more than a few inches. After a half hour, I got it to move only

1/16th of an inch. So I decided to remove the door and work on the hinge separately in a vice. That's when I discovered that the hinges are welded to the car and the door. The pin in the hinge is round on the top like a carriage bolt It seems to be not threaded. And there's nothing on the bottom of the pin keeping it in the hinge. It also won't budge. How can I take this door off?

Use a pin punch and a heavy hammer to remove the pins. They are usually in there REAL good so it does take some force to move them.
