1999 300M gear shift recall

Chances are good that you could find a particular LH-car-related TSB discussed and at least partially copied into a thread on the 300M Club or the Dodge Intrepid forums - they both have good search functions.

Only if the car is still under warranty. If not under warranty, you pay anywhere from $50 to $120 depending on dealer greed level.

Oops - I was thinking in terms of TSB's - since it is a recall, you are correct.

Just because you see a TSB does not mean it pertains to your vehicle...What engine do you have?

Its not a recall and if it is outside the 3/36 or the vehicle does not have a service contract it may not be covered if it oertains to his vehicle

To paraphrase a no-longer-so-famous American politician, "I know '66 Furies. I like '66 Furies. But a 300M is NO '66 Fury."

:-)

That said, a 300M is a very nice car for a modern car. Enjoy it!

I work in the assembly for that engine. Still have my old trusty 3.9 from Mound Road Engine Plant. Going to get a new Dakota. Hows the gas mileage on our 3.7 engine from new Mack II Plant.
