car stalls when going to stop

My Chrysler "88 New Yorker has been stalling when I go to slow down or stop. What could be the problem?

Dirty throttle body?

Ted

Or bad vehicle speed sensor?

What engine? What transmission?

1) Throttle body and AIS (IAC) need periodic removal and cleaning. Dirty parts here will cause your symptom. 2) Failing vehicle speed/distance sensor will also cause your problem.
