finished up the electronic ignition install in my '55 Stude yesterday; thanks for all the help and advice. Got a serious spark now... unfortunately I still have issues with the car but at least not with the ignition :) (let's see... I had a busted oil pressure gauge hose, a clogged fuel filter inside the old fuel pump, then the only fuel pump I had was for a supercharged car but I just left the fitting open... then when I went for a test drive it started blowing oil out the boost pressure reference hole on the fuel pump and I almost caught the car on fire... yeah I was having a fun day...) Anyway it was a pretty straightforward install and amazingly enough just worked the first time with only a timing adjustment. I added a ballast bypass wire as well and now it starts amazingly quickly.
