When the temperatures plumeted to below 20 degrees F. recently (and stayed there for over a week) my 93 Grand Caravan started moaning and groaning and sqeaking and creaking everytime I used the brakes. The brakes worked fine I just got these terrible loud noises everytime I used them. When I take my foot off the pedal the noises stop. The noises seem to be the same regardless of speed of the vehicle as long as the car was moving, except sometimes they seemed to come from the front other times from the rear, or under me. The noise is a little like a noisy shock absorber when you go over a bump. But the noises were continuous and had nothing to do with bumps. It did it on even perfectly smooth roads.
Today the temperature came up to about 32 degrees and there were no noises at all.
Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? And whether or not it could be a serious problem?
